Inspired by true events, Dirt Dollars Death is a
crime thriller about organized corruption in the Texas Hill Country and what
happens when love, friendship and loyalty refuse to give
up the search for a missing person.
Missy, Clint, and Giselle arrive with plans
to join Mikey for
a
motorcycle tour of The Three Sisters. Instead,
the friend is absent, the locals behave strangely, and
startling news from a mysterious
man launches their quest.
Amidst hostile encounters, they travel the
scenic route within the small town of Leakey,
across a mountain to Camp Wood, and in other tiny communities
they stumble upon.
Finally, they're forced into a fight for their
lives by those who
will do the ultimate evil to keep their secrets safe.
This
fictionalized
exposé
is inspired by evidence the author discovered during the first
eight years of her investigation into a homicide, and
includes
real estate fraud, forgery, identity theft,
money laundering, human and other contraband
trafficking, and a murder-for-hire operation.
Note: Some of the locals' "hillbillyish" names are anagrams. County attorney, BJ Leesaw,
gives a clue to his last name by his eating habits at
the Brake. Judge Gelddurrom's last name is an
anagram for two words. Some names are paired with
the character's description. Sandra Brown always
has a ponytail, chubby Dilly Brewmiller always tugs at
her skirt, and Wanda Weiner always has big hair.

Excerpt:
Joe jerked the head back and quickly, deeply, sliced
through the pulsing throat then pitched the body forward
from his grasp. His own blood pounded hotly from
the primal thrill of the kill and the rapture he felt
from taking out one of the soulless. He looked up
and captured the last of the moon with his eyes then
threw his head back and howled in anguish for the
unending pain he still held in his heart. |
